Audi unveils new coupe-crossover Q3 Sportback

Audi has unveiled a new compact crossover called the Q3 Sportback. The main competitors of the car will be the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. The public debut of the model will take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. European sales of the car will begin in November this year. Crossover prices will start at 40,000 euros. The novelty will appear in Russia next year. 

It was assumed that the novelty will be called the Q4, but the Germans decided for the first time to choose the Sportback designation for one of the representatives of their SUV line. The length of the novelty is 4500 mm, the width is 1843 mm, and the height is 1560 mm. The luggage compartment volume is 530 liters.

The car received a new grille, different air intakes, flared wheel arches and 18-inch wheels. The cabin is equipped with a digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch display. Already in the base, the crossover is equipped with a rear next to a three-section backrest.

The novelty has divided the components and assemblies with the standard Q3 crossover, from which it differs only in the silhouette of the body. Initially, the line of engines will include gasoline and diesel engines with a working volume of 2.0 liters and a capacity of 150 and 230 horsepower. Later, the appearance of gasoline units with a volume of 1.5 and 2.0 liters with a return of 150 and 190 forces, respectively, is expected.

The engines work in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission. Also, customers will be offered a seven-speed "robot" S tronic. The car is equipped with a sports suspension and adjustable shock absorbers. The Audi Q3 Sportback is available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. In the future, the car may receive a sporty RS modification. It is expected to be equipped with a 2.5-liter supercharged five-cylinder engine producing about 400 horsepower.
